Bitty Baga Art Exhibition (Opens)

View the creativity of local K-12 students on display in our Children's Interactive Area! All artwork will be themed around music (or musically-inspired), and must not be larger than 8x8 inches. Youth artists may attend one of the drop-in sessions to make a piece of artwork for display, or may bring in their own artwork created at home! Drop-in sessions are on April 25 (4:30-6pm) and May 4 (10:30am-noon). 

This community exhibition is in conjunction with the Rootabaga Jazz Festival, May 14-18, 2024.

The Rootabaga Jazz Festival features the great trumpeter Victor Garcia with three different groups, along with the Knox Alumni Big Band, the Faculty and Friends Combo, the Knox Jazz Ensemble, and area junior high and high school big bands.

May 15, 6pm: Galesburg Jr. High Big Band; Canton High School Big Band; ROWVA High School Big Band; Cherry Street Combo with guest Victor Garcia

May 16, 7pm: Faculty and Friends Combo

May 17, 6pm: Galesburg High School Big Bands; Knox Alumni Big Band; Victor Garcia Latin Sextet
