Visual arts are vital to a healthy and thriving community! We look forward to introducing you to a variety of national, regional and local artists in our two galleries and gift shop. The Art Center hosts close to 40 exhibitions every year that are FREE and accessible to our community.
The main gallery at the Galesburg Civic Art Center was renamed the Joanne R. Goudie Gallery on May 25, 2012 in memory of one of the Art Center’s most dedicated volunteers, Joanne Goudie. Throughout her 50 years as a volunteer at the Art Center, she served on the board of directors, as curator of the permanent collection, on various committees and as a gift shop volunteer. It is the dedicated service of Joanne and all volunteers that the Art Center continues to be a vital part of our community. See our complete 2019 Exhibition Calendar.
The Blick Gallery opened in December of 2011, named in honor of Blick Art Materials' continuous and generous support of the Galesburg Civic Art Center. The Blick Gallery was created to allow area artists the opportunity to exhibit at the Galesburg Civic Art Center in a less formal setting. We encourage emerging artists to take advantage of this gallery's flexible space and schedule.
