Carol Steinberg, 1996 residency, Los Angeles, CA
I attended Studios Midwest in 1996 and still think of it fondly. Some of the paintings I did there were featured in films. I am still painting, mostly flowers, sometimes landscapes--and often a combination of the two. I am a professor of art at Los Angeles City College and Several of my paintings were featured prominently in an episode of HOUSE, M. D. that aired this year. My most recent painting was from the 23rd floor law offices of Davis, Wright, Tremaine, overlooking the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and some paintings I did there were purchased by the same lawyers who purchased a similar view 23 years ago.
