Tom Lytle, once a student
of Jimmie Crown, carries on his tradition in sculpture, but in his own
signature style. In "Prairie Dance," sculptor Tom Lytle captures a
sense of exuberant, abandon in COR-TEN steel.
In a figurative yet
abstracted style, a family, two female and one male, hold hands in a circle.
The dancers balance on spindly rods for legs. Only the slightest hint of
clothing is suggested.
The sculpture is a
commission for a new office of Dr, Reuel Owen, D.D.S. It joyfully occupies the
front lawn.
